Deep garnet in the glass. Still going strong with the primary fruit, but is also showing serious development - caramelized coffee, dried cherry/plum and tobacco. Some floral elements on the palate. Soft, easy-drinking, but showing waaaay more development then expected. Lacks depth and finish, but still has a firm structure to keep it going for a few more years.

Definitely drinking nicely, perfect wine for when you have a thirst for a distinctly good claret but don't want to spend a fortune. I only spent $17 and I see it is twice that now. Lovely claret with the slight negative of bitter tannins in the finish. That bitter note fades completely with a steak.
